Vibratingis a dissection of what it means to feel the terrible joys of being vulnerable with another human. In this piece, I wanted to convey the calmness of my exterior versus the intense inner emotions that come with opening myself up. I do this by using a macro lens to capture fabric, bright colors, and anxiety-inducing imagery (interior). The drawn images are battling between wanting to be geometric and industrial vs. organic and natural. I pair this imagery with my melancholy cover of Robyn Hitchcock’s song Vibrating, performed and recorded by myself. By using the calm audio vs. the chaotic imagery of geometric forms turning into organic ones, I explore the unnatural feeling of removing walls.

This short comedy poetry film is about me, my partner Alex and Rufus, the dog we dog-sit who intrudes somehow in our relationship. I share my experience of me almost sharing Alex with Rufus whenever he is around with Rufus dominating and me battling this creature by me becoming him by me dressing up in a dog costume. The poem is humorous in tone and uses end of sentence rhyming couplets for poise and wit to dramatic effect.
