Idealistic and passionate rookie lawyer Yen-ching takes on the case of a death row prisoner Ming-te, who has been sentenced to death five times. Yen-ching, initially harboring no high hopes, begins to believe in Ming-te’s innocence as she delves deeper into the case. Firm in her conviction that law should represent justice, she submits extensive evidence to prove Ming-te’s innocence, only to be disregarded by the judges. Yen-ching soon realizes that she is not merely fighting against the legal system but against the inherent human nature of prejudice. Now faced with the challenge of toppling society’s deeply ingrained “presumption of guilt” principle, Yen-ching strives to save Ming-te from his imminent execution.

Pugan is an artist who likes to be quiet and private, and Amy is a bright girl whose life revolves around social media. Despite their vastly different personalities, fate brings them together at a house filled with memories from Amy's childhood, prompting her to reflect on her past. Amy returns to her childhood home in search of her mother's lucky things that she hopes will bring happiness back to her life. She submits an offer to rent the house for a month, with the condition that if she can't find the items, she will move out.
Once Africa appeared as a distant place of famine and drought. Now the two traveling companions meet a developing continent. They visit five African countries full of hope for the future, self-confidence and potential despite harsh living conditions.
