According to publications of the time, he partnered with theatre owner Jacob Conn, Lew Robertson, and Harry Kahne to produce an animated short based on the character, which was entitled No Fare. This was planned to be the first short in a series of "Goofy Gus and his Omnibus" shorts created by the team. However, No Fare was the only Goofy Gus cartoon that ever saw release.
