Taihei's difficult days are just beginning. His girlfriend Natsuko has a sister called Kanoko who falls victim to a a disease that has afflicted women of the family for generations, causing a sudden eruption of hair across her body. When she turns into a wolf and escapes into the woods, Taihei and Natsuko come after her and stumble across an unidentified body. The police claim the wolf is to blame. This begins a frantic chase where the myth of the werewolf and Japanese folklore blend together.

In the end, Gooby fulfills Willy's initial wish by bringing Willy and his dad together in a touching and exciting climax.

Frederik proves to be a scapegrace and Peter's spirit returns to right matters and finally succeeds in doing so by communicating with Jimmie who is in a delirium." ( Moving Picture World, 20 Nov 1926, p164.) Peter thus thwarts selfishness and greed and rewards virtue.
The story is a mysterious tale following the journey of a spirited young girl as she ultimately comes to learn of her destiny and special powers of healing.
