The film follows Quan, a young man who accidentally receives power from the Hung Kings era to transform into Chien Than Lac Hong and fight against demons and monsters.

In the first season of this show, the main characters were Vladimir and Dragana, a duo that talks about many issues and later follows the adventures of Zlatko's family. In the second and third season, Dragana already left while Vladimir only occasionally appeared as one of the neighbors.

The PBS version of the program was originally presented by TV station KIXE in the Redding and Chico areas of the U.S. state of California.
Mark Kistler additionally released some publications teaching techniques used in the show. It had a short reprise later in the 1990s but did not continue to run past a few episodes.
