Back Of The Y previously known as Back Of The Y Masterpiece Television is a cult New Zealand TV series, created by Chris Stapp and Matt Heath. Featuring such memorable characters as Randy Campbell, Danny Parker, Dick Johansonson, Cindy Cockburn and Spanners Watson, the show glorified stunts and the consumption of copious amounts of alcohol. The Hollywood special episode featured Randy Campbell jumping off the back of the Y in the famous Hollywood sign. Back of the Y is centred around a mock live TV show, featuring segments such as Randy Campbell's Extreme Stunts and "Cunstables". The show was low budget and apparently filmed with amateur equipment and edited on home computers. The show description at the start of the first episode references one of the cast members and sets the agenda for the rest of the show "Phil Bruff had a dream. It is a supplementary mini-series of the Meteor Garden series which is based on Japanese shōjo manga series, Boys Over Flowers, written by Yoko Kamio. It was produced by Comic Ritz International Production with Angie Chai as producer. It consists of three stand alone episodes that happened at different times, before, during and after Meteor Garden. They are referred to as chapters focusing on each F4 members, except for Hua Ze Lei. The series was broadcast on free-to-air Chinese Television System in 2001 following the main series Meteor Garden, which was broadcast from 12 April 2001 to 16 August 2001. It was followed by the sequel Meteor Garden II, which was broadcast from 11 November 2002 to 25 December 2002.

Some have stated that this is the Russian version of 'Lost' but I cannot comment on that - I have not watched more than the first few episodes. This is supposed to be a group of people that have been "cast off" by relatives for at least three years so their property transferred over to the relative who sent them away. But something goes wrong. One of the people on the boat who was not supposed to by among the stranded is now struggling to survive. The boat transporting them was to drop them off on the island but blows up instead, after the captain escapes to safety. After reaching the island, supplies are obviously for 12 people but there are now thirteen. Suspicions abound as they struggle to survive the elements and unseen dangers while trying to get rescued.
