Attracted to Nordic landscapes, [Dore O.] filmed KALDALON (1970/71) in Iceland where images of water, rocks, steam and smoke were technically enhanced to appear blue-tinged.
A strange succession of tableaux of four women and a man which gives the sense of a sort of dream family locked in an antiseptic world of endless afternoon teas, dinners and waiting. Often her images seem to be stills either before or after something has been said.

The curious events that form the show have occurred on several occasions throughout history. The main cause being that the gods periodically amuse themselves by branding humanity with the red-hot iron of its insignificance. If, in the beginning, the gods had stopped bickering, if Rome had foreseen its downfall, everything would have been turned upside down. The vagaries of fate and the hazardous twists and turns would have been inevitably altered. We don't really know anymore, that's for sure. We, the playthings of history, review the great events of humanity. The Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the 18th, and 19th centuries and beyond... We take a look back at defining moments and try to understand what the hell is going on! Interpretations may overlap, but there is only one history: the true one, and in particular this one.
In Japan's far north, the white plains of Hokkaido bear witness to the cycle of life in its harshest seasons. The lens tells a remarkable tale of glaciers ruling the skies, seals battling the cold and death, and bears reborn as the ice melts. "The Gift of Ice" paints a poetic and realistic picture of the struggle for survival amidst this silent beauty.
Part documentary, part performance capture, entirely thrilling. This uplifting project follows a group of young dancers as they collaborate with internationally acclaimed choreographer Kim Brandstrup and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Born out the the OAE's residency at North London's Acland Burghley School, Brandstrup, together with professional dancers Tommy Franzen, Deavion Brown, and Seirian Griffiths, worked with students over two years to create a new piece that fuses hip hop movement with the intricate musical world of J.S. Bach. The result was an exhilarating, sold-out performance at the 2025 Edinburgh International Festival. As the project grew, so did the students. Their uncertainty transforms into confidence, joy, and a mesmerizing new dance language. Their natural rhythmic intelligence becomes the key to unlocking Bach's complex music, revealing unexpected links between Baroque counterpoint and the street-style flow of hip hop.
Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) was a videogame magazine that started in 1989 and lasted (sporadically) until summer of 2014. This feature documentary involves many people from its heyday, from starting up to its eventual selling to Ziff Davis and how that affected the tone of the magazine.
