"After crossing paths with a terminally-ill mad scientist who's supposedly discovered the key to switching bodies, a suicidal call center agent must decide whether or not to shorten his life." From Cleveland State University's School of Film & Media Arts, this 30 minute Dark Comedy/Science Fictional story was first conceptualized by Cinematographer, Greg Pace, during the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Wanting it to come to fruition, Greg handed off the script to Chan Cunningham, who would then become the Writer, Director, and Co-Producer of the student lead thesis project. The distant future. Midorijima, an island in Japan's south west, is an island divided - home to both 'Platinum Jail', a luxurious members-only resort owned by one of Japan's leading conglomerates, Toue Concern, and to the 'Old Residential District', where the original reisdents of the island have been forcibly relocated by rapid and aggressive development. Within the 'Old Residenital District', two games in particular are popular. On one hand - 'Ribsteez', where teams are formed to fight over territory in hand-to-hand combat. And on the other - 'Rhyme', a vast virtual reality where 'Rhymers' battle and compete against one another in digital matches. Our protagonist Aoba doesn't really care for either of these. All he wants is to be able to live a relaxed and happy life in the 'Old Residential District' with his grandmother. However, something strange is beginning to happen - something that not only threatens Aoba's peaceful days, but all of Midorijima.

Set in the late 1950s, in a retro futuristic world, widowed father Richard arrives home from work to find his house in chaos. His son Thomas scares off their caretaker, Julie and steals her necklace. Richard prepares dinner, however Thomas is dissatisfied with the meal, broccoli soup, arguing his mom would have made it better. Richard snaps at Thomas, who leaves his soup on the table and retreats to his bedroom. Richard is left alone, defeated, takes a seat on the couch and sees a commercial for Rob.B, a personal caretaker robot. The next day, Rob.B shows up to take care of Thomas, but after a puzzle piece goes missing, Rob.B tries to find it and ends up being electrocuted causing a malfunction. Julie returns to find her necklace and the now aggressive Rob.B chokes her unconscious. Richard and Thomas must learn to communicate and work together to defeat Rob.B.
