The film is dedicated to the centenary of the First World War, on the territory of the municipality of Ljubovija, and is based on true events. It tells the heroic resistance of the not very powerful but proud Sokol Brigade, made up of third-callers and recruits from the villages around Ljubovija.

San and Mayu are two schoolgirls living in Okinawa during the closing months of the Pacific War. Together with their classmates, the two friends are drafted into the war effort as nurses for wounded soldiers. World War I. Russian soldiers in France learn that there is a revolution in their homeland and demand to return. The French government sends them to a concentration camp. The soldiers, led by Chernov, continue to fight for their return to their homeland. Chernov escapes from the camp. Here he meets a certain Ribault, who is deceiving the Russian soldiers into leaving for Morocco, to join the Foreign Legion. The soldiers learn this information on the ship before departure, capture the ship's crew, and take the ship to Russia.
