This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a journey that has closely mirrored the experiences of the Asian American and Pacific Islanders community. To commemorate this shared journey, the East West Bank Foundation commissioned director Evan Leong (Linsanity, Snakehead, and Level Up with Stephen Curry) to create The Bridge. This feature-length documentary explores the struggles, perseverance, and successes that have empowered us all to reach further.

Viktor Ryzhakov takes charge of the Sovremennik theatre after the death of Galina Volchek, who led the troupe for almost half a century and enjoyed absolute authority. For the theatre’s first new production, the new artistic director chooses a play about a family whose members have ceased to understand each other. While working on the play, the director and actors become more and more like the characters in the future production, and find it increasingly difficult to find mutual understanding within their “theatrical family.”

In her new film, Catarina Mourão captures with tremendous precision the moment a middle-aged man passes his story on to his son, thus shedding the taboo of his ineffable experience.
Godard constructs a lyrical study of the cinematic and creative process by deconstructing the story of his 1982 film Passion. “I didn’t want to write the script,” he states, “I wanted to see it.” Positioning himself in a video editing suite in front of a white film screen that evokes for him the “famous blank page of Mallarmé,” Godard uses video as a sketchbook with which to reconceive the film. The result is a philosophical, often humorous rumination on the desire and labor that inform the conceptual and image making process of the cinema.
The 45 minute film follows Logic through the making of the album which has a lot of contributions from guest artists, musicians and instrumentalists. Even his wife Jessica Andrea has guest vocals on several songs and skits. There is one scene where the rapper gets very emotional about the content of the album and how much love he gets from his dedicated fans.
